Builder Trend - our building portal. Communication with the client, daily logs, and schedules makes organising easy. It's really cool that the client can see what's going on in the background. Builder Trend allows a client view to some of the communication between subtrades and office to builders on site. You can also see photos taken each day of progress, if the client is off site.
Can't beat a renovation. Changing something into something else has more of an appeal to me than building a house from scratch. Turning heritage buildings into luxury apartments would be the ideal job for me. Whilst it would be cool to bring back famous architects/engineers from the grave, I'd rather work with someone I have worked with before. What's the point of developing good working relationships if you swap them out for a dead person. Sean from Hanlon and Partners would be my go to Engineer. Practicality sometimes benefits over "ease" and Sean always does well to see it through the builders eyes rather then draw as much detail on paper without attending a site visit.
If I could build anything in the world? Regardless of budget? Given the opportunity it would have to be a homeless shelter big enough to house everyone in need in New Zealand. Swimming Pool, cafes with free coffee, rollercoaster inside, Recycled clothing stores, the works.
